Protecting the Clean Air Act

Bald eagle soaring

In 1970, Congress made a promise to future generations by passing the Clean Air Act to protect us from dangerous air pollutants like smog, soot, carbon, and mercury.

It is up to us to keep that promise and to make our own promise to generations to come.

The Clean Air Promise campaign is bringing together people who do their part to protect clean air, and urging Senators, Representatives, and other elected officials to make a promise to do the same.

The Clean Air Promise

I promise to protect America's children, families and wildlife from dangerous air pollution.

Because toxics and pollutants such as mercury, smog, carbon, and soot threaten the health and future of people and wildlife. I will support clean air policies and other protections that scientists and public health experts have recommended to the EPA to safeguard our air quality.
